Recognised as one of the most distinguished musicians of modern Russia, Shahgaldyan is a laureate of the Pablo Sarasate International Violin Competition and a graduate of the Moscow State Conservatory, where he studied under renowned professors Viktor Tretyakov and Marina Glezarova. He further refined his artistry through masterclasses with legendary musicians such as Yehudi Menuhin and Vladimir Spivakov.
Over the course of his career, Shahgaldyan has performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues, including Carnegie Hall, the Musikverein, and Suntory Hall, appearing in more than 200 cities worldwide. He has also been a member of the renowned Moscow Virtuosi under the direction of Vladimir Spivakov, and since 2006, he has been a violinist of the Khachaturian Trio.
