Helmed by President Konstantin Ishkhanov and Artistic Director Giuliano Mazzoccante, Accordi Academy acts as a revolutionary initiative, aiming to refine the piano techniques of participants of all nationalities under the age of 35 with the help of world-class luminaries through intensive masterclasses.
Following the lessons, the academy will also play host to a series of prestigious competitions dedicated to various instruments, with the International Piano Competition specifically being held from August 10-12, 2025. Open to applicants of all nationalities, the competition consists of two rounds:
The first round is held over two days in a recital format and lasts a maximum of 20 minutes. Its requirements include:
One virtuoso Etude by F. Chopin, F. Liszt, S. Rachmaninov, C. Debussy, A. Scriabin, S. Prokofiev, I. Stravinsky or G. Ligeti.
First movement of Sonata by J. Haydn, W. A. Mozart, M. Clementi, L. van Beethoven or F. Schubert.
Other work chosen by the candidate (if necessary to reach the maximum time required).
The final or second round, also presented as a recital, is scheduled to take place at Teatro Marrucino, and lasts a maximum of 35 minutes, featuring:
Alexey Shor: Piano Sonata No. 2
One or more works from the Romantic Period up to Contemporary composers of the candidate‘s choice.
The rules for both rounds include:
All pieces, except for Alexey Shor: Piano Sonata No. 2, must be performed by memory.
Compositions performed in the first round cannot be played in the final round.
The total prize fund for the piano competition is €9000 split across three prizes:
1st prize: €5000
2nd prize: €3000
3rd prize: €1000
