Now entering its third edition, the Accordi Musicali Academy has quickly established itself as an important international meeting point for talented young musicians. Combining world-class instruction with the cultural richness and natural beauty of central Italy, the program offers participants an intensive experience of musical development, collaboration, and artistic exchange.
One of the most distinguished violinists of his generation, Andrey Baranov enjoys a thriving international career both as a soloist and chamber musician. His artistic achievements include winning the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Violin Competition in 2012, as well as first prizes at the Benjamin Britten International Violin Competition and the Henri Marteau International Violin Competition. In addition, he has been a laureate of more than twenty international competitions, including those in Indianapolis, Seoul, Sendai, and Moscow.
Baranov made his debut in 2005 at the Grand Hall of the Saint Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Vasily Petrenko. Since then, he has appeared with major orchestras such as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Camerata Salzburg. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with leading conductors including Teodor Currentzis, Kent Nagano, Yuri Temirkanov, and Emmanuel Krivine.
At the Accordi Musicali Academy, Baranov will share his extensive performance experience and artistic insights with the next generation of musicians. His masterclasses are expected to be a highlight of the 2026 program, offering young violinists a rare opportunity to work closely with one of today’s most respected performers on the international stage.
