Pablo Ferrández to Lead Masterclasses at Accordi Musicali Academy
Accordi Musicali Academy is proud to welcome internationally celebrated Spanish cellist Pablo Ferrández as one of its masterclass professors, offering young musicians the rare opportunity to learn from one of the most sought-after cellists of his generation.
A prizewinner at the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition and an exclusive Sony Classical artist, Ferrández has been hailed by critics as a “new cello genius” (Le Figaro). Praised for his magnetic stage presence, technical brilliance, and expressive artistry, he has rapidly established himself among the leading instrumentalists on today’s international scene.
His acclaimed debut album Reflections was released in 2021 and received the prestigious Opus Klassik Award. This was followed by further major releases, including Brahms Double Concerto with Anne-Sophie Mutter, the Czech Philharmonic, and Manfred Honeck, as well as the 2025 release Moonlight Variations, featuring Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations.
Ferrández performs regularly with many of the world’s foremost orchestras, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Francisco Symphony, Filarmonica della Scala, Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Bayerischer Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de France, Oslo Philharmonic, Seoul Philharmonic, and many others.
