Accordi Musicali Academy Continues Its Inspiring Week of Masterclasses in Pescara
The Accordi Musicali Academy continued on Thursday 6th August with another full day of masterclasses at the Conservatory of Music “Luisa D’Annunzio” in Pescara, as students carried on their intensive week of musical development and professional growth against the backdrop of the Italian summer.
Taking place from the 3rd to the 9th of August, the Academy has been bringing together young musicians and distinguished professors for a programme designed to encourage learning, dialogue, and direct contact with internationally respected artists.
During the third day, students had the opportunity to take part in masterclasses led by violinist Aleksey Semenenko (Ukraine), together with other professors from this year’s cohort. The sessions offered participants further individual guidance and practical insight, allowing them to work closely on technique, interpretation, musical expression, and the personal qualities that shape a performance.
Speaking about one of the students he worked with, Semenenko praised the level he encountered during his time at the Academy. “I’ve had one student, this girl, Carla, who has impressed me with her quite good level of playing and music making, which I had never expected from quite a small place like Pescara,” he said.
His comments reflected the strong impression made by the young musicians taking part in the Academy, as well as the value of creating opportunities for students to learn directly from artists with international careers.
As the Academy moves further into its programme, the atmosphere in Pescara remains one of curiosity and enthusiasm.
