Rules

1. The International Winds Competition will take place in Pescara, Italy.

2. On arrival in Pescara, you will have to go to the Artistic Secretariat of the Competition, which is located in the Conservatory of Music Luisa D'Annunzio, to confirm your presence and receive all the information about the services offered by the organization and the locations of classes, etc.

3. The International Winds Competition is held on August 5-7, 2025. Application deadline - July 6th, 2025.

4. The Competition is open to applicants of all nationalities. Applicants must be no older than 35 years of age as of August 5, 2025, the date of the competition's opening ceremony.

5. The Application procedure must be completed online, and the application will not be considered unless the payment is received by the application deadline. The payment fee is EUR 100. The fee is non-refundable for any reason.

6. Candidates must fill in the application form listing their programmes in the due order.

7. Participants are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and visa expenses, if necessary.

8. The Competition consists of two rounds: a first round, held over two days in recital format, and a final round at Teatro Marrucino, also presented as a recital. The audition in the first round lasts a maximum of 20 minutes, and the final round lasts a maximum of 35 minutes. All rounds are open to the public.

9. Once the application deadline has passed, the submitted programme may not be changed under any circumstances.

10. A pianist will be provided by the Competition upon request. However, candidates may choose to be accompanied by their own pianist, should they prefer.

11. The decisions of the Jury are final and not subject to review or appeal. The results, including the Jury’s decisions and votes from the 1st round to the final round, will be published on the official website after the announcement.

12. Copyright and Usage
All stages of the Competition may be broadcast live, recorded, or videotaped for subsequent use in various formats, including television broadcasts, video/DVD, audio recordings, and online media. It is anticipated that selected Competition performances will be commercially produced, and a documentary of the event, incorporating these performances, will be produced for television. Portions of the Competition may also be made available on the Internet. Camera crews may film all Competition events. In the event of radio or television productions, or the use of audio or video recordings from the competition or winners' concerts, participants waive any claims or financial requests from the producers or broadcasters.

1. One solo work from the baroque period (for example works by G.Ph. Telemann, J.S. Bach etc.).
The work may contain only one or several movements from a suite, or any other cycle. Important is to stay within the time limit of 20 minutes when combined with other pieces of the first round.
The choice of the tonality of the transcription and the instrument is free.
