Tiziana Columbro

Tiziana Columbro is an Italian pianist who performs regularly as a soloist and chamber music player in Italy and abroad (Austria, France, Sweden, Spain). From a very young age, she stood up in various national and international piano competitions, winning first prizes, scholarships and prize concerts.
Her first experience as a soloist with the orchestra was at the age of 14 with Mozart, under the direction of Maestro Michele Marvulli.
She has performed in prestigious venues, including: Musikverein in Vienna, Gesellschaft für Musiktheater Wien, Katholische Hochschulgemeinde in Vienna, Ateneo Musical de Burgos, Ateneo Musical Mirandés in Miranda de Ebro, Sociedad Filarmonica Castellana de Aranda de Duero, Aurora Music Festival in Stockholm, Institut Culturel Italien in Paris, Festival International De Musique Universitaire in Belfort (France), Kulturhaus in Kurtasch, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Ricercare Cultural Association in Milan, Unione Musicale in Turin, University of Padua and University of Turin, the Associazione Musicale Conoscere la Musica in Bologna, Accademia Filarmonica in Messina, Società Barattelli in L'Aquila, Emilia Romagna Festival, Associazione AMA Calabria, Camerata Musicale Salentina, Fondazione Franco Michele Napolitano in Naples, Festival Contemporanea Classica Caelium, Camerata Musicale Sulmonese, Associazione Chromatica and many more.
Tiziana has worked as accompanist pianist during the Masterclasses of renowned violinists, such as Pierre Amoyal, Boris Brovtsyn, Christophe Horak.
Since 2016 she has been playing Duo with violinist Nicola Marvulli, with whom she studied at the Academy of Music in Pinerolo, obtaining the Master Diploma under the guidance of E. Pace. In autumn 2018, during the International Competition ‘Coop Music Awards’ in Cremona, the Duo won a special prize for the best performance of a piece composed by M° C. Galante, who then composed a piece dedicated to them, ‘5 Stanze per Asterione’ (2019).
Alongside the Duo, the project of the Morgen Piano Trio, with the participation of cellist Camilla Patria, has been developed since 2020. In 2022, the ensemble was a semi-finalist in the 21st edition of the Premio Trio di Trieste competition. The Trio furthered its studies with Maestro Antonio Valentino at the Conservatorio ‘G. Verdi’ in Turin and with the Trio di Parma and Maestro Pierpaolo Maurizzi as part of the annual Master's Degree Course in Chamber Music at the Conservatorio ‘A. Boito’ in Parma, concluding in 2023 with 110 cum Laude and honorable mention.
Tiziana completed her piano studies at only 17 years old with Honours and and honorable mention at the Conservatorio ‘L. D'Annunzio’ in Pescara. Then continued her education under the guidance of M° Paolo Bordoni (Three-Year High Proficiency Course at the AMP) and later of M° Pasquale Iannone, in addition to numerous Masterclasses held by internationally renowned pianists (including: A. Kobrin, P. De Maria, A. Lucchesini, F. Solter, A. Frölich, G. Luisi, P.N. Masi, M. Szraiber, L. Morales, O. Maione, Z.V. Csàszàr, V. Dimulescu, V. Bermann, E. Tarnawska).
After completing the two-year Master in Chamber Music Summa cum Laude, she ended, at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst (Mdw) in Vienna, the Master of Arts in Piano Performance with M° Stefan Vladar (2020) and the Master of Arts in Chamber Music with M° Stefan Mendl (2022).
Interested in music in all its aspects, Tiziana is a Psychologist: she concluded both degrees in Psychological Sciences and Techniques (with an experimental thesis on neuroscientific research in the music field) and in Clinical and Health Psychology (with an investigation into the psychophysical health of the professional musician), with top marks cum Laude at the G. D'Annunzio University in Chieti-Pescara. She is enrolled in Register A of Psychologists, Abruzzo Region.
Tiziana is permanent Professor of Principal Piano and International Relation Coordinator at the Lorenzo Perosi Conservatory of Music (Campobasso, Italy).
